To our valued clients,
The situation is rapidly changing around Covid-19 (the “Coronavirus”). There is a lot of uncertainty in our lives right now, especially with the recent closures of schools, restaurants, gyms and other social outlets and the cancellation of planned travel and events. On the world stage, we have seen countries like China and Italy being devastated by the overwhelming health needs of their populations. Nationally, we have been hearing the stories from California, Seattle and New York City. Locally, with the recent confirmation of positive cases, and the declaration of a state of emergency in Erie County, many people are wondering whether we will soon be facing something of similar magnitude to what has occurred overseas. This is an unprecedented event in most of our lifetimes, and it is understandable if you feel overwhelmed with uncertainty or unsure of what the next steps will be.
We want you to know you are not alone, and we are here to offer our support and assist you in staying calm, finding your ground, and being prepared. Your physical, mental and emotional health are our greatest focus. To help support you, we wanted to communicate the following information:
The WNY Holistic Counseling Center remains OPEN at this time and will continue to conduct in-office sessions for those who would like to come in. Please understand that this is subject to change should the authorities instruct us to close our doors, which is a likely possibility in the near future.
To ensure the safety of those of you who will be coming in to the office, as well as that of our staff, our clinicians will personally be sanitizing the office and waiting room spaces multiple times a day, sanitizing door knobs, light switches, surfaces, credit cards terminals and other communal devices, as well as couches and chairs. Additionally, we are diffusing DōTerra’s On Guard Protective Blend essential oil in our diffusers to help further purify the air. We are asking all of you to also be responsible for containing your own spread of germs to the best of your ability by complying with the following the CDC guidelines:https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/community/index.html.
Having said that, if you have been exposed to anyone with the virus, have been traveling AT ALL in the past few weeks, or are showing any symptoms of ANY illness including a fever, sore throat, cough, or runny nose we ask that you DO NOT come in to the office. If you are sick, please cancel your appointment and take care of yourself so you can recover quickly. If you’re just a bit under the weather, or otherwise unable to come in, but would like to keep your appointment, we are happy to continue working with you via confidential phone sessions. We are all one community and must work together to take care of ourselves and each other. We trust that you will use your best judgment.
We look forward to supporting all of you through this very challenging time. Please continue taking good care of yourself and your loved ones. We will be in touch again soon.
